The joint venture between Vietnam Trading Engineering Construction JSC (Vietracimex) and Marubeni Corporation is set to build a thermal power plant project in Vietnam with a generating capacity of 1,050 MW.
Named as O Mon II thermal power plant, the project will require a preliminary capital of about VND30.35 trillion (US$1.325 billion) and will be built O Mon Power Complex in Can Tho.
The investment registration was awarded to the developers on February 8, 2021. The project is the largest foreign direct investment (FDI) in Can Tho.
