The Government of Vietnam has approved the investment plan and construction of the 500 MW Gia Lai ground and floating solar photovoltaic project located in Ia Ly commune, Chư Păh District, Gia Lai province, Vietnam.
The project has a total investment of over VND9.55 trillion(US$415.13 million).
The project covers 533 hectares of water surface of Ia Ly hydropower reservoir and 5 hectares of land. The construction of the project is expected to commence by the second quarter of 2022 and is expected to be operational by the fourth quarter of 2023.
