Veolia seeks US$1bn sale for North American heating and cooling business

The Veolia Environnement SA, a French water and waste-treatment company, is seeking more than US$1 billion for the sale of its North American heating and cooling business in USA. 

The firm’s portfolio includes District Energy Networks business. Interested bidders include Brookfield Asset Management Inc.’s Enwave Energy Corp., Engie SA, Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp., and Epcor Utilities Inc.
