The County Administrative Board of Skane grants Vattenfall a Natura 2000 permit to build wind power on the Swedish section of Kriegers Flak. The decision is a step towards achieving Sweden's climate goals and makes a long-awaited contribution to the energy supply in southern Sweden.

Kriegers Flak is an area in the Baltic Sea 30 km south of the Swedish coast.

Swedish Kriegers Flak is in the planning phase and can become operational sometime around 2027-2028. Once operational, the farm will supply 600,000 households with renewable energy corresponding to 23% of all households in Denmark.
