Macquarie Asset Management’s energy transition solutions fund has raised US$1.95 billion.

The fund is aiming to finalize fundraising by early Q2 2024, which signifies strong investor interest and potentially faster deployment of capital towards clean energy projects. Macquarie is set to exceed its initial target of EUR 2 billion (USD 2.17 billion) for the Energy Transition Fund. It received a US$300 million commitment from the Texas Permanent School Fund. The fund is investing up to US$325 million in green-nitrogen fertilizer plants in the US and Latin America via Atlas Agro.
