The joint venture of UPC Solar Asia Pacific and the AC Energy Inc, a subsidiary of Philippine-based Ayala Corporation, is set to build a 100 MW solar photovoltaic plant in the Rajasthan state of India.
The Sitara Solar project was secured by the joint venture from the tender held by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for a bid of INR2.48 (US$0.033) per kWh.
The project is set to be operational by the first quarter of 2021. It is estimated that the development of the project would cost about US$68 million.
