The Ministry of Energy, Mines, and Renewable Energies of Tunisia has issued two tenders for the deployment of 1 GW of solar photovoltaic (PV) capacity.
In the first procurement exercise, the Tunisian government is seeking offers to construct eight 100 MW solar power plants. The land for the projects will be identified and secured by the developers. The solicitation will be conducted in four rounds.
In the second tender, the government aims for the development of two 100 MW solar plants in Hecha, Gabes governorate, and Khobna, Sidi Bouzid governorate.
