Tender Issued for 500 MWac Solar Park Development Project in Karnataka

Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited (KREDEL) has issued a Request for a Financial Proposal for the Selection of a consultancy firm to prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the Supply of 500 MW AC Capacity Bidar Solar Park in Aurad Taluk, Bidar, Karnataka, India.

The Broad scope of service consists of the following Tasks: 

• Task-I: (Technical Assessment) The firm will: 

1. Conduct site engineering assessment, soil testing, and solar radiation analysis to inform design requirements.
2. Develop an optimized plot plan for the solar park, including layout, road, drainage, and transmission system design, along with infrastructure like warehouses, security, and more.
3. Create a power evacuation plan, including substations, metering, and transmission lines.
4. Perform soil testing, topography surveys, and hydrology studies on the designated land parcel.

• Task II: (Financial Assessment and Commercial Feasibility Report) The firm will:

1. Provide cost estimates for project components, infrastructure, and services within the project boundary.
2. Structure a revenue model based on business plans, land requirements, and technology options, aiming to enhance project viability.
3. Define the roles of the developer and operator in the design, construction, financing, maintenance, and transfer of the project.
