Oriana Power is planning to develop a 20 MW gound-mounted solar photovoltaic project located in Dugdha Washery Area, Dhanbad, Jharkhand, India.
The project scope comprises design, procurement of solar equipment, construction, testing, commissioning, integration with the transmission network, and a 5-year operation and maintenance phase.
The project requires an estimated investment of about INR1.38 billion (US$16.69 million). Once operational, the project can generate enough power for the consumption of up to 10,000 homes and offset about 26,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually.
Tata Power has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the government of Maharashtra to develop two large pumped hydro storage projects with a combined capacity of 2.8 GW in Maharashtra.
