Svevind Energy Group and the Kazakh government have signed a deal for the construction of the 40 GW Hyrasia One wind and photovoltaic (PV) power projects, which will power 20 GW of electrolyzers located in the southwest region of Kazakhstan. Beginning in 2032, the hydrogen station will be capable of producing up to 2 million tons of green hydrogen annually.
The industrial park of electrolyzers is a crucial component of the European Union's goal to reduce its dependence on fossil fuels and decarbonize energy-intensive businesses.
Before the end of November 2022, the European Commission and Kazakhstan are anticipated to sign a strategic collaboration agreement for sustainable raw materials, batteries, and green hydrogen.
