Renewable energy project developer Sunpin Solar has signed an 8-year hedge fund agreement with Morgan Stanley Capital Group for the development of the 70 MW/98 MWp Titan Solar 1 solar photovoltaic farm in Imperial County in California, USA.

Sunpin Solar has also named Exelon Generation Company LLC’s Constellation NewEnergy as the power purchaser of the solar farm. The 12-year power purchase agreement was signed last October 2020.

The solar farm will be built on 569 acres (230.3 hectares) between the Salton Sea and Anza Borrego Desert State Park in California’s Imperial County. Titan Solar 1 Project is comprised of over 260,000 panels and generates over 218,000 MWh of renewable energy each year, which is enough to power over 26,900 homes annually.
