Serbian sugar producer Sunoko, a unit of MK Group, has started the construction of its EUR9 million (US$10.68 million) biogas power plant project in the Vrbas, northern Serbia.
Once completed, the project can generate 2.4 MW per hour or enough annual electricity needs for about 5,000 households.
The project uses a technological solution from the company Wabio Technologie GMBH from Germany.
