Statkraft has acquired three wind power projects in Chile with a planned installed capacity of 110 MW in total.
The acquired projects are Cardonal (30 MW), Manantiales (28 MW) and Cerrillos (52 MW), all located in the municipality of Litueche, in the Region of the General Liberator Bernardo O'Higgins.
Each project has its Environmental Qualification Resolutions (RCA) approved, and Statkraft will now develop the projects towards investment decisions and possible completion in 2022. The total investment cost for the three projects are estimated to US$180 million.
In total, the three projects will have an average annual generation of approximately 300 GWh, equivalent to the consumption of more than 100,000 houses.
