The Government of South Africa, through the Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS), has launched a request for expression of interest (RFEOI) for the selection of an independent power producer (IPP) for energy augmentation at a selected government waterworks infrastructure for a 20-years operational period in Design-Build-Finance-Operate (DBFO) scheme.
The DWS intends to invite EOI from bidders to generate information that will assist the department to assess aspects of potential renewable energy projects at selected government waterworks infrastructure for the selection of renewable energy developers for the development of potential types of renewable energy plants and the Operation and Maintenance of the same.
The deadline for the submission of the EOI Response Form is on April 18, 2023.
