Sonnedix has completed the purchase of a portfolio of 28 solar PV plants from Italian energy company Graziella Green Power S.p.A., with a combined capacity of 53 MW, following the signing of a preliminary sale and purchase agreement in December 2018. The agreement also provides for the acquisition of a further 2 MW plant in early 2019.

The solar PV portfolio consists of a mix of ground and roof-mounted plants located in the Toscana, Umbria, Sardegna and Basilicata regions.

The acquisition increases Sonnedix’s presence in Italy to an operating capacity of 181 MW and further consolidates the company’s position as one of the largest solar PV operators in the country. In November 2018, Sonnedix also acquired the 1 MW Mazzarino solar PV plant in Sicily.

For this transaction, Sonnedix was advised by Orrick, Duff & Phelps REAG, RSM Studio Palea Lauri Gerla and ICS.
