Solek Group has received approval from Authorities of the Chilean region of Coquimbo for the environmental impact statement of the planned 10.6 MW Ovalle Norte solar photovoltaic project in Limari, Coquimbo, Chile.
The Ovalle Norte solar park with an investment of US$10.6 million and consists of 28,800 solar panels that are expected to generate enough power to supply for about 10,000 homes annually.
Solek Group planned to start the commercial operation of the solar park by the second half of 2020.
