Solaria Energia y Medio Ambiente SA has announced the successful connection of its 626 MW Cifuentes-Trillo solar photovoltaic (PV) complex to the grid in Spain. No further details on the project have been provided.
The solar farm was launched in October 2019, when Solaria had only 75 MW of installed capacity. The company then secured additional grid permits, allowing it to expand the project to 626 MW.
Construction of the complex began in the spring of 2021. With the connection to the grid, Solaria has taken a major step towards meeting its goal of building 3 GW of solar capacity by 2023.
The Cifuentes-Trillo project is one of the largest solar PV installations in Spain and is expected to make a significant contribution to the country's renewable energy targets.
