Solarcentury and Encavis put online 44 MW solar park, producing clean solar electricity generated by 154,000 solar panels. The project is located near the city of Eindhoven in the Netherlands. The project sits over half a square km, of an old landfill site, that is, the size of 120 football fields.
Over 4,000 panels were installed each day for six weeks to build the park. The project was built over five months.
The project was made into reality by the Dutch province of Noord-Brabant, the commune of Cranendonck and Solarcentury company. Encavis AG and Solarcentury owned the project. The project generates power for 12,500 homes and reduce 600,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide over the next 25 years.
