Electricidade of Mozambique, EP (EDM), with funding from the French Development Agency (AFD) delegated by the European Union (EU), launches an invitation for expressions of interest in hiring a social operator to support the implementation of the Livelihood Restoration Plan (PRMS) and the Compensation Plan (PC) for the Manje and Chimbunila solar projects, within the scope of the PROLER program.
PROLER aims to prepare and launch renewable energy projects (solar and wind) using an Independent Power Producer (IPP) approach, strengthening the capabilities of public energy sector entities (MIREME, ARENE, and EDM). Four projects are planned: three solar photovoltaic and one wind, all with approximately 30 MWac. The consultancy services to be contracted aim to support EDM in the implementation of the Livelihood Restoration Plan and the Compensation Plan for the Manje and Chimbunila solar projects.
The consultancy will play a vital role in facilitating transparent engagement with stakeholders, ensuring compliance with national legislation and international standards for social impact management.
