Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy and Van Oord are set to build the 380-MW-plus Fryslan nearshore wind farm in the Frisian part of the Ijsselmeer Lake in the Netherlands.
The two firms will supply and install 89 units of SWT-DD-130 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 4.3 MW. The contract also includes a 16-year service agreement.
The Fryslan wind project is expected to be completed in 2021.
