Sherbrooke-Skinners Pond Transmission Line project receives US$33 million funding

The Sherbrooke-Skinners Pond Transmission Line project has received a government fund of about CAD44 million (US$32.8 million) located in Prince Edward Island, Canada. 

The Government of Canada has given CAD21.25 million (US$16.19 million) into the project, while the provincial government provided CAD22.75 million (US$16.93 million).

The Sherbrooke-Skinners Pond Transmission Line project has a length of 106 km, connecting the Sherbrooke substation to the Skinners Pond Wind Energy Centre, expected to be operational by 2025.  

The Skinners Pond Wind Energy Centre with initiated by a large group of landowners in West Prince in 2007, with Invenergy Wind.
