Convenience stores chain Seven-Eleven Japan Co Ltd has entered into a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Hokuriku Electric Power Co Inc for the energy produced from a 6.22 MW solar photovoltaic project in Fukui Prefecture, Japan.
The project will be constructed within the Yonozu area of Sakai city through the subsidiary of Hokuriku Electric Power, Hokuriku Electric Power Biz Energy Solution Co Ltd (Hokuriku BEST).
Once operational, the project will power up to 300 stores of Seven-Eleven Japan in the Hokuriku region.
