The Santander Group and Energix - Renewable Energies have signed a loan agreement worth PLN550 million (US$145 million) to finance a portfolio of two onshore wind farms with a total capacity of 125 MW.
Banco Santander benefits from a partial guarantee from the Danish Export Credit Agency (EKF), a parallel lender is the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), providing the same amount under the PLN550 million (US$145 million) financing package. Santander Bank Polska acts as an agent, collateral agent, and account manager.
The first project is the 81.4 MW Banie III investment in northwest Poland, where 37 turbines will be built. The second project is located in Sępol in north-eastern Poland.
