San Diego Community Power signs 20-year PPA with RAI Energy for Vikings Energy Farm

The community aggregate San Diego Community Power (SDCP) has signed a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with an affiliate of RAI Energy International (RAI Energy), Vikings Energy Farm LLC, for the solar with energy storage project in California. 

Located in Imperial County, the Vikings Energy Farm project consists of a 100 MW solar photovoltaic and a 150 MW/600 MWh energy storage facility. Vikings Energy Farm LLC will develop, design, own, operate, and manage the planned solar with energy storage project. 

The construction of the farm is expected to start in the second half of 2022 with the planned commissioning before the end of 2023.
