RWE and Latvenergo have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop, construct and operate offshore wind projects off the coast of Latvia in the Baltic Sea.
According to the National Energy and Climate Plan, by 2030, Latvia intends to raise its wind capacity from the present 70 MW to 800 MW.
