After the failure to pass environmental protection standards, Latvian Wind Energy Association has rejected Eulus Vind AB’s proposal for 51-turbines wind farm.

According to the authority, the technology to be used for the wind scheme is not suitable for the environment. The residents of the Dobele and Tukums regions also opposed the development of the project. The locals are concerned that the wind project would impact the quality of life.

The construction of the wind park was planned for early 2019 and it was expected to complete by 2022.
