Origis Energy has signed a large-scale virtual power purchase agreement (VPPA) with Koninklijke DSM NV (Royal DSM) for renewable electricity from the new Rockhound Solar C project that will be constructed in the Ector County, Texas, USA.

The 61 MWac (78 MWdc) Rockhound Solar C was developed, financed, and will be constructed by Origis Energy.  Construction is scheduled to be completed in 2022.

Once completed, the project will yield approximately 160,000 MWh of electricity each year. Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) from the solar farm will support DSM’s RE100 goals.
