RIC Energy, a Spanish solar photovoltaic (PV) project developer, has begun construction of the 23 MWp Nkonge PV farm in Uganda for The Xsabo Group. RIC Energy will remain on site to provide services for operations and maintenance upon completion.
The construction works also include the construction of a step-up substation with a 132 kV/33 kV rating and an overhead line with a 132 kV rating spanning 4.5 km.
Following completion, The Xsabo Group will deliver output to Uganda Electricity Transmission Co Ltd. RIC Energy anticipates that the development will be completed some time during the first half of 2023.
