RGreen Invest, an energy transition financing platform has closed the second round of NOUVELLES ENERGIES solutions, its bridge financing strategy at EUR156 million (US$173.68 million).
RGREEN INVEST achieved its fund-raising objective in a record two months primarily by raising commitments from institutional investors wanting to support the energy transition and the development of green infrastructure.
With the NOUVELLES ENERGIES Fund series, RGREEN INVEST offers developers short-term financing solutions for their renewable energy infrastructure projects. The senior debt enables developers to build their projects in a shorter time frame while providing sufficient duration to benefit from competitive long-term bank financing.
The predecessor Fund, NOUVELLES ENERGIES I, was launched in July 2018 and closed within 6 months at EUR124 million (US$137.287 million) (exceeding its initial EUR100 million (US$110.72 million) target). It is now fully invested. NOUVELLES ENERGIES II was launched on October 15, 2019, and raised EUR156 million (US$172 million) within 2 months. The two combined funds including their reinvestments now represent more than EUR300 million (US$332 million) AuM making the NOUVELLES ENERGIES Fund series a core offering of RGREEN INVEST alongside its INFRAGREEN Fund Series.
