Renova Inc has reached financial close for the 20.8 MW Hitoyoshi Solar Power Plant located Higashi-Otsuka-machi, Hitoyoshi, Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan. The solar plant can generate up to 22 million kWh of energy per year.
Renova manages the project through its unit, Hitoyoshi Solar GK. Initially, the company owns 38% of the solar park while the remaining 62% is held by Fuyo General Lease Co Ltd. Renova has the right to acquire its partner's interest once the project is completed.
The construction of the plant began in November 2019 and the development is expected to be completed in June 2023.
