Real Infrastructure Capital Partners has inaugurated its three solar photovoltaic parks in El Salvador with a combined capacity of 43.62 MW.

The solar projects - 10.16 MW La Trinidad, 7.62 MW Marquez, and 25.62 MW Los Remedios - are located in the town of Acajutla, Sonsonate department. The facilities can generate enough power of about 118,500 MWh per year that offsets about 29,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) annually.

The projects have entered into a tripartite agreement with the Municipal Government of Acajutla and the Social Investment Fund for Local Development (FISDL) in which they commit to donate 3% of their income to finance local initiatives.
