Quadran Energies Marines has applied for a EUR50 million (US$56.11 million) funding from the European Investment Bank (EIB) for the development of its EolMed floating offshore wind project in France.
The facility consists of four Senvion 6.2MW turbines installed on Ideol’s Damping Pool floating foundations some 15km offshore Gruissan in an average depth of 55m.
The project is expected to enter construction before the end of 2019. It is slated for commissioning by late 2020 of early 2021 with a useful life of 20 years.
