Together with China Huadian Corporation (CHD), PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop a 1.3 GW wind project in South China and other renewable energy in Indonesia.
Presently, PTBA owns a number of ex-mining lot that are suitable for the construction of Solar Power Plants (PLTS). There is 201 ha of post-mining land in Ombilin, West Sumatra, and 224 ha of post-mining land in Tanjung Enim. Each of these lands has 200 MW of PLTS potential.
