PSE, NextEra signs PPA for 350 MW of Clearwater wind complex in Montana

Puget Sound Energy (PSE) has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with NextEra Energy Resources LLC for the 350 MW of its 750 MW wind farm located in Montana. 

The deal covers a 20-year PPA from the Clearwater wind farm complex that is targeted for commissioning before the end of 2022. 

The project is located about 60 miles north of Colstrip city across Rosebud, Garfield, and Custer counties. Once operational, the project can generate enough power for up to 140,000 local homes per year.
