ProInversion launches tender for concession of two transmission projects in Madre de Dios and Piura

Peru’s PPP agency Agencia de Promocion de la Inversion Privada (ProInversion) has launched a tender for the concession of two transmission projects, Transmission Line 138 kV Puerto Maldonado - Iberia and 220/60/22.9 kV Chira Valley Substation, in the Departments of Madre de Dios and Piura. 

The projects include the implementation of the following works:
 
  • Transmission line 138 kV Puerto Maldonado - Iberia
 
a. Transmission line Puerto Maldonado-Iberia 138 kV:
 
-Simple circuit, 160 km long.
 
b. Iberia Substation, 138/22.9 kV
 
- At 138 kV: Single bar system; Connection cells: to the Puerto Maldonado-Iberia 138 kV line, the power transformer and the bar reactor; 5 MVAR bar reactor; Power transformer 138/22.9 kV 20-25 MVA (ONAN-ONAF).
- At 22.9 kV: Single bar system; Connection cells: two (02) feeders (IB line 03), power transformer, capacitor bank and auxiliary services; 6 MVAR capacitor bank.
-Space for future expansion of two (02) line cells at 138 kV and three (03) at 22.9 kV
-Protection, measurement, communications and control systems, auxiliary services and others.
 
c. Expansion of the Puerto Maldonado substation.
 
- At 138 kV: Simple bar system expansion; Connection cells: to the Puerto Maldonado-Iberia 138 kV line and the power transformer (existing).
- At 22.9 kV: 4 MVAR capacitor bank and respective connection cell.
-Protection, measurement, communications and control systems associated with the project.
 
  • 220/60/22.9 kV Chira Valley Substation
 
a. Chira Valley Substation 220/60/22.9 kV: set to 220 kV as a double bar with transfer disconnector and bar coupling, at 60 kV as a double bar with bar coupling, and at 22.9 kV as a single bar, with the following equipment:
 
- In 220 kV: One (01) three-phase power transformer of 50-65/50-65/15-19.5 MVA (ONAN-ONAF) at 220/60/22.9 kV, and four (04) cells, of which two (02) are lined, one (01) of the three-phase power transformer and one (01) of bar coupling.
- At 60 kV: Four (04) cells, of which two (02) are line, one (01) of the three-phase power transformer, and one (01) of bar coupling.
-Complementary systems: protection systems, control, measurement, communications, grounding, auxiliary services, porches and bars, civil works, etc.
- At 22.9 kV: Metal armored metal-clad cell for auxiliary substation services, and auxiliary services transformer
.
b. LT 220kV Piura West – Pariñas variant: sectioning of the Piura Oeste – Pariñas Transmission Line (L-2248) between support structures 088 and 089, for entry/exit to the Valle del Chira Substation 220/60/22.9 kV of the lines generated in 220 kV, Valle del Chira - Piura Oeste and Valle del Chira – Pariñas.
 
c. A variant of the LT 60kV La Huaca – Sullana: sectioning of the La Huaca – Sullana Transmission Line (L-6662A) between support structures 141 and 142, for entry/exit to the Valle del Chira Substation 220/60/22.9 kV of the lines generated in 60 kV, Valle del Chira – La Huaca and Valle del Chira – Sullana.
 
d. Space for future expansion of:
 
- In 220 kV: two (02) line cells.
- In 60 kV: four (04) line cells.
 
The concession will be granted under the Integral Project Competition mechanism, in which the Award will be responsible for the design, financing, construction, operation, and maintenance of the projects. At the end of the concession period, ownership of the public infrastructure of the projects will be transferred to the Peruvian State.
