Penso Power is set to expand the current generating capacity of the 100 MW Minety battery storage project in Wiltshire with another 50 MW energy system.
The developer has obtained and rights and planning permission for the planned proposal and is holding talks with potential off-takers. The 100 MW main facility has secured an agreement with the Shell Energy Europe and the energy tech firm Limejumpas off-takers.
The planned expansion will be done adjacent to the main facility. It is expected to be operational by 2021.
