Aquila European Renewables Fund is set to launch up to EUR25 million (US$28 million) to fund the acquisition of renewable energy assets through a share issue.
The Fund plans to sell ordinary shares through offerings with a price of no less than EUR1.05 (US$1.185) apiece. The proceeds from the sale will be used to fund the acquisition of the pipeline renewable energy assets that include onshore wind, solar and hydropower sectors in six European countries for a total capacity of about 875 MW.
The final price for the planned issue will be determined during a bookbuild process. Numis Securities Limited acted as the bookrunner for the deal.
