Panda Green Energy Group Ltd is set to build a 1,000 MW hybrid solar photovoltaic and energy storage facility with a hydrogen production project in Manasi County, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region in China.
Panda Green Energy will develop, finance, and manage the proposed project that requires an estimated investment of about CNY 10 billion (US$1.41 billion). The company has signed a memorandum of cooperation with Manasi County for the development of the project.
The final scale of the project is yet to be determined but the initial capacity for the first phase will not be less than 500 MW.
