PacifiCorp has completed the sole ownership acquisition of the Foote Creek I wind project, a 41.4 MW wind power facility located in Carbon County, Wyoming, USA.
The company plans to repower the project by replacing the 68 existing 600-kilowatt wind turbines, originally installed between 1998 and 1999 with 13 new modern turbines. The new machines are equipped with new energy collector circuits, switchgear, and controls.
The repowering of the facility will be completed in 2020. It will extend the useful life of the facility by more than 20 years.
