Toronto-based renewable energy developer Northland Power Inc has acquired three wind farm projects in New York.
Northland Power will take over the 124 MW Bluestone wind farm in Sanford & Windsor, Broome County, the 100 MW High Bridge wind farm in Guilford of Chenango County from Calpine Corporation, and the 100 MW Ball Hill wind farm in Hanover & Villenova of Chautauqua County from the Renewable Energy Systems. The transaction represents about CAD 5.6 million (US$4.3 million) of investment.
The three projects are in the process of securing development permits from the relevant authorities.
