The Government of Macedonia has launched a prequalification tender for the design, financing, construction, operation, and maintenance of new hydropower plant Cebren and Dam Orlov Kamen (with the possibility for HPP) as well as operation of the existing hydropower plant Tikves located on the Crna River.
The selected developer will have the exclusive right to design, build, operate and maintain HPP "Cebren" (with an indicative installed capacity of 333 MW) and Dam Orlov Kamen (with the possibility for hydropower plant), and the exclusive right to operate and maintain HPP "Tikves" (with installed capacity of 116 MW), three months after starting of operation of HPP Cebren.
The two projects require an estimated investment of about EUR570 million (US$617.58 million).
The deadline for submission of proposals is on April 3, 2020.
