The Nordex Group has received an order from ABO Energy to supply and install seven N133/4.8 wind turbines for the 33.6 MW Öhringen-Karlsfurtebene wind farm in northeastern Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The order also includes a Premium Service contract for maintenance of the turbines over 20 years.
Seven N133/4.8 turbines will be erected near Öhringen on hybrid towers with a 164-meter hub height. Installation is set to start in fall 2026, with commissioning expected in spring 2027. The Öhringen-Karlsfurtebene wind farm will produce approximately 84 million kilowatt-hours annually, sufficient to power nearly 25,000 households sustainably. It supports Öhringen’s climate neutrality goal by 2037, aiming to prevent 149,000 tons of CO2 emissions yearly.
Neighboring municipalities receive financial support as part of the project: cities and communities located within a 2,500-meter radius of the wind farm are granted 0.2 cents per kilowatt hour according to their share of the project area.
