The Nordex Group has signed a major order for 113.1 MW of turbines. The manufacturer will install 29 N131/3900 series for the construction of the second phase of the Syvash wind farm.
Nordex contract partner is Powerchina Ltd., which will build the wind farm for the local project company SyvashEnergoProm, a joint venture comprising NBT AS and Total Eren.
The wind farm is to be built in the region of Kherson, on the north shore of Lake Syvash. It has a planned production of 840,000 MWh of electricity per year, and will generate enough electricity to meet the needs of approximately 100,000 households in the municipality of Rivne. It is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by 470,000 tonnes per year.
