Nextracker, a global provider of intelligent solar tracker and software solutions, has acquired Ojjo in an all-cash transaction for approximately US$119 million.

Combining Nextracker’s industry-leading smart solar tracker system with Ojjo’s foundation technology will enable engineering procurement construction companies (EPCs) and solar power plant developers to benefit from a more complete, integrated solution for various soil conditions when developing, designing, and installing their projects.

Ojjo, a California-based renewable energy company, specializes in unique truss systems that use half the steel of conventional foundations and minimize grading for utility-scale projects. The Ojjo Earth Truss includes underground anchors, above-ground legs, and a truss cap, offering over 4 feet of reveal tolerance. Its hollow Screw Anchor features a crimp collar and hollow tip. Ojjo also uses an automated Truss Driver machine for installations. Their technology, compatible with Nextracker’s NX Horizon system and other solar trackers, enhances foundation capabilities.
