NextEra Energy Inc has signed two separate power purchase agreements (PPA) for the 125 MW of solar and 65 MW of battery storage capacity energy produced from the Yellow Pine Energy Center I in Nevada.
The 20-year PPA was signed with the community choice energy (CCE) providers Monterey Bay Community Power (MBCP) and Silicon Valley Clean Energy (SVCE). The 75 MW of solar energy and 39 MW of energy storage will be supplied to MBCP while SVCE will have 50 MW of solar and 26 MW of storage capacity.
The Yellow Pine Energy Center I is a 500 MW solar photovoltaic plant with an energy storage facility located in Clark County in Nevada, USA. The energy produced will be supplied starting in December 2022.
