New York commissions 20 MW KCE NY 1 battery storage project

The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) has announced the completion of Key Capture Energy’s system, the largest battery installation in New York which will serve the state’s electrical system by enhancing power grid performance and reliability and will help reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

The project will have GSS® end-to-end grid storage solution and AEROS® proprietary energy storage controls software. The system includes a flexible design to accommodate wholesale market opportunities in the NY ISO market.

The project is the largest lithium-ion battery storage project in New York State and supports to reach 1,500 MW of energy storage by 2025.
