Neoenergia SA has started the construction of its 566.5 MW Oitis wind complex located in Casa Nova town, Bahia state, Brazil.
Oitis wind complex is made up of 12 wind parks and consists of about 103 units of 5.5 MW wind turbines.
In September of 2020, Neoenergia has secured a BRL715 million (US$133.30 million) loan from the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) and the European Investment Bank (EIB), for the development of the project.
The wind complex is expected to be fully operational by 2023.
