Neoen has started construction of the 45 MW/90 MWh Arneburg Battery located near Arneburg in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany.
Following its business model, Neoen owns 100% of the facility and will operate the energy storage system. The Arneburg Battery will offer intraday power trading and balancing services to the grid, helping to maintain a real-time balance between production and consumption, thus improving power system stability and supporting the integration of renewable energy resources. The Arneburg Battery is scheduled to begin operations in 2026.
