Naturgy Energy Group, formerly Gas Natural Fenosa, announced that it will finance a total of BRL265 million (USD 70.5 million) in green bonds to two solar parks with a 68 MW combined capacity. The funds are intended for the construction of Sertão I Solar and Sobral I Solar projects located in the region of Piauí, in the north of Brazil.
The BRL135 million bond for the Sobral I Solar photovoltaic (PV) farm has a term of 15 years and three months. Sertao I Solar receives BRL130 million and has a term of 14 years and three months.
Banco Santander and Itau banks acted as underwriters.
