Swiss-based MET Renewables has submitted a request to the Bulgarian Commission for the Protection of Competition (CPC) for the approval of its acquisition of 100% capital of Enel Green Power Bulgaria.
Enel Green Power Bulgaria, a subsidiary of Italian Enel Green Power, operates 14 wind turbines with a total capacity of 42 MW through 14 fully-owned subsidiaries. The wind turbines are a part of two wind farms on the Black Sea coast – Shabla and Kamen Bryag, each with 21 MW installed capacity.
The acquisition is part of MET’s growth strategy to develop a significant renewable portfolio in the region of Central and Eastern Europe.
